Arnold Schwarzenegger to visit Japan to promote movie comeback

Former American action movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger, 65, will visit Japan on Feb 20 to promote his comeback movie, “The Last Stand.” It will be Schwarzenegger’s first visit to Japan to promote a film since 2003, although he has been back during that time as California governor.
During his heyday as an action star, Schwarzenegger was extremely popular in Japan and came to promote almost every film he made. In a TV interview with Japanese media at the film’s premiere in Los Angeles, he sent Japanese fans his trademark message from “The Terminator”—“I’ll be back.”
In “The Last Stand,” which opens in Japan on April 27, Schwarzenegger plays the sheriff of a small American town on the Mexican border, caught up in a battle with the leader of a Mexican drug cartel.
As if to celebrate Schwarzenegger’s full-fledged return to the business (though he did appear briefly in the two “Expendable” films), posters for “The Last Stand” have the tag line: “Retirement is for sissies.”
